Site-In-Site™ Technology

Technology Overview

Site-In-Site™ technology is based on a proprietary, clientless method for remotely controlling any part of an implemented web page. This capability allows Site-In-Site™ technology to turn any part of any web page into an independent, dynamic presentation or mini web site.

Key Benefits

•  Clientless Operation - our exclusive, proprietary technology is based on a completely clientless design that only uses HTML and JavaScript. Our technology does not use any type of specialized browser clients (NO Flash, Java, ActiveX) or specialized network configurations (NO proxies, etc.).

•  Works on All Browsers and Devices - since our clientless Site-In-Site™ technology only uses HTML and JavaScript, it works on nearly all browsers and devices including all W3C browsers (see below for details).

•  Rich, Dynamic, and Interactive - our technology allows complete, real-time control over all content and functionality within all the mini sites on your affiliate network. In addition, our clientless technology allows us to include rich, dynamic content in a mini site without requiring installation of any specialized browser clients like Flash.

•  Secure Data - all data can be transmitted using SSL and all session-specific data is encrypted using Triple-DES encryption.

•  Secure Network - unlike competing technologies such as most specialized browser clients that can expose networks to attacks, our clientless technology blocks all network attacks (including Denial-of-Service attacks) in part by eliminating the use of any proxies, client/server connections, or specialized browser clients.

•  Quick, Easy Implementation - add one line of HTML to a web page, and it's live! More Info...

•  Flexible - Site-In-Site™ technology is easily configured to produce a wide range of features, functionality, and layouts. In addition, changes can be made in real time to any part of a mini site functionality or layout.

For the Site-In-Site™ service to function properly, JavaScript and cookies must be enabled in a browser. If the browser is not configured to allow both JavaScript and cookies, then our Site-In-Site™ service is automatically deactivated during initialization and the web page operates normally without any affect from Site-In-Site™ servers.

How Site-In-Site™ Works

When a browser requests a web page that is implemented with a Site-In-Site™ product, the servers for that web site send the requested page (including the two lines of HTML Site-In-Site™ implementation code) to the browser. After the page fully loads in the browser, our Site-In-Site™ technology creates a completely independent, clientless connection between the customer's browser and Site-In-Site™ servers. This approach means that Site-In-Site™ products do not affect or interact with the web servers for sites that are implemented with a Site-In-Site™ product.

Details of how the Site-In-Site™ process works is summarized in the following drawing:

The above diagram is divided into three regions: the left column contains the normal web site servers for the web pages requested by the customer, the middle column contains the customer browser including web pages that load in the browser, and the right column contains the Site-In-Site™ servers. When the browser at the top of the center column requests a web page, the Web Site Servers on the left processes the browser request and returns the requested web page. A small block of Site-In-Site™ HTML activation code is returned as part of the web page. Once the web page loads, the Site-In-Site™ HTML activation code sends a request to the Site-In-Site™ Servers. If initialization succeeds, an independent connection is established between the customer browser and Site-In-Site™ Servers. Under no conditions do the Site-In-Site™ Servers interact with or affect the Web Site Servers.
