Amazon mini Product Details
Amazon mini works by using our Site-In-Site platform to
create a miniature, web site for
Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides direct, online access to the
Amazon.com platform and product data. The combination of Amazon mini and AWS
produce a dynamic, customizable window into the complete Amazon.com web site. A
web site that installs Amazon mini makes money from Amazon.com for any of their
products sold through their Amazon mini. All payments and all related revenue
reporting is done directly by Amazon.com as part of their
Associates program (no payments are made directly by SiteInSite.biz).
To cover costs associated with running Amazon mini servers
and infrastructure, an 80% / 20% revenue split applies to all Amazon mini
accounts. An account owner will receive payments directly from Amazon.com for
80% of the sales processed through their Amazon mini account and SiteInSite.biz
will receive the additional 20%. To receive payments from Amazon.com, your
Associate ID ( issued
by Amazon.com) is added to Amazon mini transactions. To achieve the 80%
/ 20% revenue split, the SiteInSite.biz Associate ID is added to every fifth
purchase (i.e., 20% of the sales) processed through your Amazon mini account.
There are no direct costs for opening and using an Amazon
mini account, and there are no ongoing commitments. Simply add an Amazon mini
to your web pages, and as long as it is live you will receive 80% of the
Amazon.com Associates revenue produced by the Amazon mini.
Why Not Use the Static Banner Ads Provided by Amazon.com
As part of their Associates program, Amazon.com offers a few
static banner ads and links that can be copied into web pages. When a customer
clicks one of their static ads or links, the Amazon.com site opens so that the
customer can purchase the item. You then receive Associates revenue for all
completed sales.
Since you receive 100% of the Associates revenue generated by
the free static ads and links from Amazon.com, why would you use Amazon mini
and receive only 80% of Associates revenue? The answer is simple:
You will make more money using
Amazon mini!
The combination of significantly improved user experience
without forcing a customer to leave a web site until they are ready to purchase
all selected items means that 80% of the Associates revenue generated through
Amazon mini will always be larger than 100% of the Associates revenue generated
using their static banner ads and links.
How Does the Checkout Process Work
As required by Amazon.com and AWS, the checkout and purchase
process must be done on the Amazon.com site using an Amazon.com account. The
main advantage of this approach is that it provides complete security for
customers using Amazon mini. No secure information is ever entered directly
into the Amazon mini window. Instead, Amazon mini is essentially a non-secure
window to the product search and shopping cart features of the Amazon.com site.
It allows customers to search Amazon.com products, create and manage a shopping
cart, etc., and it is all done without leaving the original web site that
contains the Amazon mini. When a customer is ready to complete an Amazon.com
purchase, they click the "Proceed to Checkout" button on the Shopping Cart page
(or any "Buy Now" button on any Amazon mini page) and a new browser window
opens with an Amazon.com login page. At this point, they log into the
Amazon.com site (using their Amazon.com account) and complete the purchase
using the normal Amazon.com checkout and purchase process. As soon as a
purchase is completed, your Amazon.com Associates account will immediately be
credited for the purchase.
